Definitely agree with the 'feeling cooler' cohort. I cannot seem to get warm tonight.
@Songbird, I am not experiencing that situation you describe on my laptop. All normal here.
Sorry you had a disappointment with your planned visit today @Blue arbour.
I suppose patience is the order of the day @lizzie27. It must be a relief to know that it is only bruising and nothing more devastating. I willbe watching Monty too so I will say night night to you all and
      See you tomorrow.png

We're not doing anything that I am aware of for sure - there are automated processes that run, but it shouldn't delete anything like that. I'll try and find the time to rebuild the caches over the weekend and see if that helps.

Shame about your visit @Blue arbour and sorry you didn't enjoy your lunch @Penny_Forthem. We like sweet potaoes but they can be too wet for many dishes so I tend to do them cut in chunks and roasted with a bit of olive oil and seasoned with garlic/rosemary/Chilli/other herbs and spices as the mood takes me. Any leftovers end up in Possum's lunchbox.

French black pudding is soft so doesn't lend itself to frying but we like it mixed with pork mince in sausage rolls or meatballs. We all like Irish black and white pudding but it's not available here tho I recently found an Irish website selling it - 25€ p&p for 4 of each. I don't think so.

Having had a none too peaceful night and then being up early in case the nurse came at silly o'clock I fell asleep after lunch and awoke too late to do any serious gardening as it was getting dark already so I've been sewing my new jacket before tackling dinner. The good news is that this is the first jab I've had in years with no arm ache or swelling.

I hope your wrist heals up soon @lizzie27. Vitamin Bs are good for nerve healing so think about a supplement and rest that wrist.

Sweet dreams everyone and a good sleep for ll.

Cold sd grey here too but we took a chance and went to Stowe gardens to see the D Day installation. Very evocative in the grey cold light. 20241108_144526.jpg

That's impressive but so sad @Allotment Boy.

@Songbird I don't have any problems looking back with my Laptop.

I did some gardening, 2 hrs, this morning but haven't planted my tulips. Did weeding and clearing and splitting a couple of perennials. Planted the Purple Skyliner rose that I bought in the small GC where I bought the tulips. Previous one, which was a pathetic specimen that I planted in February, died. This one looks a lot healthier so fingers crossed. It's to go up a fence in dappled shade. Not many roses are happy with shade but Peter Beales say this one is OK with it.

Ah right, thanks @Fat Controller , @Ladybird4 and @Busy-Lizzie . The home page for me is still only showing about 12 posts. As soon as I read the post, the thread disappears and so the page soon starts to disappear. Thanks @Fat Controller for looking at this for me. Not sure why this is happening.

I have just logged out of site and then back in again. ( no joy). But @Fat Controller ,I then noticed an option for Recent posts which, when pressed, shows up all the back posts. However, when I viewed a thread there was then no further option to show recent posts to go back to.

Edited to say I have found a very small option on right hand side near top of page for recent posts.( so all good in that respect) but I’ve never had to press that small option as it’s always been a big headline .There is an option for new posts and that’s when all the pages disappear again.

Sorry for all the inconvenience I’m causing with this.

Think it may be @Fat Controller ( but not too sure) but when I’ve just pressed that it shows a depleted home page of posts and doesn’t show “ Recent Posts” as a main headline…just a small one as described in my previous post just now. I’ve noticed too, that after posting a reply on here, there is no option for recent posts at all. Getting a bit confusing for me. Not to worry,I’ll have another go tomorrow. Thank you for your help.

I don't think the issue sits at our end to be honest - I've got a funny feeling that your cache is full, but sadly I am not an Apple person, so I have no clue how you clear it on one of those.

Oh dear. Poor Rob. He had his stitches out but has to keep the bucket on for another week, no bath yet either.
I went on to B&M after going to the vet and stocked up on dog treats and dog food, for being such a good dog during treatment. I also bought a Winter weight 15 tog king size duvet for him to lay on in the back of the car. Much cheaper than buying a purpose made dog bed from Vets for Pets which were £75.00! I borrowed the idea from a friend who had a greyhound which had a duvet in the back of her car. Much softer, snuggly and lovely to dig into.
I had to be very strong minded not to go mad and buy lots of Christmas decorations etc., now in stock, but I did succumb to stocking up on Cheesy Footballs, a bit of a weakness for me. The co,ours, lights and sparkle always get me going.
My daughter is coming round today to help me plant my bulbs. I have had to fly around to tidy up, hide things and do some light cleaning etc., before she arrives!

Good morning @Goldenlily26. Another week for Rob then before he gets to be 'unveiled'. As you said, poor Rob but the 1 week will soon pass. Great idea about the duvet as a bed in the car for him. Perhaps I could try that with Cricket. He has several 'nests' but spends quite a lot of his sleep time in one of my knitting wool carrier bags where he burrows in until comfortable. I can empathise with the concealment of 'stuff' when visitors are expected!
