Definitely agree with the 'feeling cooler' cohort. I cannot seem to get warm tonight.
@Songbird, I am not experiencing that situation you describe on my laptop. All normal here.
Sorry you had a disappointment with your planned visit today @Blue arbour.
I suppose patience is the order of the day @lizzie27. It must be a relief to know that it is only bruising and nothing more devastating. I willbe watching Monty too so I will say night night to you all and

We're not doing anything that I am aware of for sure - there are automated processes that run, but it shouldn't delete anything like that. I'll try and find the time to rebuild the caches over the weekend and see if that helps.

Shame about your visit @Blue arbour and sorry you didn't enjoy your lunch @Penny_Forthem. We like sweet potaoes but they can be too wet for many dishes so I tend to do them cut in chunks and roasted with a bit of olive oil and seasoned with garlic/rosemary/Chilli/other herbs and spices as the mood takes me. Any leftovers end up in Possum's lunchbox.

French black pudding is soft so doesn't lend itself to frying but we like it mixed with pork mince in sausage rolls or meatballs. We all like Irish black and white pudding but it's not available here tho I recently found an Irish website selling it - 25€ p&p for 4 of each. I don't think so.

Having had a none too peaceful night and then being up early in case the nurse came at silly o'clock I fell asleep after lunch and awoke too late to do any serious gardening as it was getting dark already so I've been sewing my new jacket before tackling dinner. The good news is that this is the first jab I've had in years with no arm ache or swelling.

I hope your wrist heals up soon @lizzie27. Vitamin Bs are good for nerve healing so think about a supplement and rest that wrist.

Sweet dreams everyone and a good sleep for ll.

Cold sd grey here too but we took a chance and went to Stowe gardens to see the D Day installation. Very evocative in the grey cold light. 20241108_144526.jpg

That's impressive but so sad @Allotment Boy.

@Songbird I don't have any problems looking back with my Laptop.

I did some gardening, 2 hrs, this morning but haven't planted my tulips. Did weeding and clearing and splitting a couple of perennials. Planted the Purple Skyliner rose that I bought in the small GC where I bought the tulips. Previous one, which was a pathetic specimen that I planted in February, died. This one looks a lot healthier so fingers crossed. It's to go up a fence in dappled shade. Not many roses are happy with shade but Peter Beales say this one is OK with it.
