Tied up some more Clematis on the Trellis Entrance. Then collected some short canes and went around the borders with the inevitable string in my pocket looking to plants that were flopping or invading other plants space [which happens a lot in my garden:heehee:]. Fed the roses again with Tomato Feed including those by the pond trying not to get any spilling into the pond. Then I went to the Arbour and started tying up the Alchemist rose on one side and the Compassion rose on the other, plus the six Honeysuckle that are with them. I had a quick look in the Green House and the toms were doing fine so I gave them a water and made myself a mug of tea.:snork::coffee:

I saw one on the way to work the other morning, and yes they are pretty - - the issue I have is that it won't fill these 8 big gaps that I have at the back of the borders.

My only hope now is that I can get sunflowers to play nicely (and quickly) and make up the rest with Malva Zebrina.

The annoying thing is that at least £15 of the vouchers need using shortly, and they have next to nothing in stock - - and certainly nothing that I actually want.

Watered, weeded and checked over the borders. Happy as a pig in .... As I spotted one of the cannas that I left in the border coming through! Fantabulous :hapydancsmil: :spinning:

I've had pretty much a lazy day today after over doing it in the garden yesterday. Side shooted and tied in the toms, that's all. :)

Dug out the next ten tomato plants that are off to their new home tomorrow, potted on my cucumbers into their final pots as they were getting pot bound, and sowed some beans and peas for a friend who forgot to get himself any.

I will have to resow some more broad beans as four of mine have been chopped of at soil level, presumably by a slug :gaah: - not sure if I should resow in pots in the greenhouse, or direct?

Tonight, I finally finished building the 'wobbly bridge' on the lad's play area. A worthy project in itself, but all the more cool because it now joins the fort/tree house to the living willow tunnels to the living willow hut.

I'm going to do some more broad beans, but I too haven't decided whether to start them in the greenhouse or direct. I might do halfy halfy and see which lot does best.

Best that I can offer is to check out your local suppliers for Nicotiana sylvestris.................

Blooms later in the summer, but definitely a big impact plant. Uber fragrant in the evening.

Planted 2 fuschias in the front garden and 3 hellebores part of 6 I bought and forgot about. They all seem to be doing well thought.

Not an awful lot from me today - staked and tied in my outdoor tomatoes that were getting battered by the wind, repositioned my veggie/fruit netting that had blown off and secured it down with big bricks, then watered everything in the greenhouse.

My lupin seedlings seem to be doing well, especially considering that I thought I had messed up by not soaking them before sowing:

They will be ready for moving on shortly.

Whilst posting photos, here are some of my main border that has been steadily improving since being planted - the camera on my phone apparently cannot handle the light being thrown back from the yellow rose, so apologies for the poor quality:
