Lots of lovely colour, everyone :blue thumb:

Our garden is mainly in its green period. Very little colour around apart from crocosmia/montbretia dotted around and a few other things. Lots of plants are getting cut back now and they're uncovering the weeds.

I haven't got enough colour right now either. Agapanthus are doing well, and in a year or two the various plants I have will make clumps ... but ... I'm not sure that I want more than a dozen such clumps, so I need to find other stalwarts for this time of the year to compliment them.

This time of year is Tricyrtis time. Here is the common T.formosana which has started blooming today.....................

I.balfourii will bloom through to the frosts, although you do need to deadhead. This is a self seeder.....................

My I.niamniamensis has recovered from the blackfly infestation. I keep it in semi-shade where it seems happiest.................

I spotted this one among the plants in the Bog Garden. I know I haven't planted it there so I guess it must be a self sown one, plus none of the ones I have are remotely that colour so it must be a Sport.:dunno::scratch::snork:

Thanks, longk.:snork: It's quite a yellowy orange and stands out in the dark being almost fluorescent. It's a nice feeling when Nature gives you something new and free entirely unexpected.:hapydancsmil::snork:

Never grown them but they do look quite unique - great colours.
