After spending half the night listening to the wind whistle around the house, again and then 7 hours on the UK's motorways, blinded by the spray from lorries, gripping the steering wheel against wind gusts and aqua planing periodically, I'm glad to be home in front of the wood burner!

I worked from Home today due to the storms instead of driving to Birmingham and I'm glad I did as reports say a lot of the route was flooded. The rain and winds have been continuous all day and last night I could hear that winds howling through different flues in the house....made me feel nice and snug in bed!! It's still raining but the winds have eased somewhat. The temperature is now 43f. The BBC Met people have been saying that they cannot see an end to this weather for another fortnight at least...........:cry3::gaah:

The rain's stopped but the wind's still quite gusty. I've seen a forecast for the next 10 days which looks the same, with a bit of snow/sleet here and there, just to shake things up a bit... Roll on summer and the inevitable hosepipe bans!

Gale force winds and rain here but seem to be getting off lightly in these parts :dbgrtmb:

After a very rainy and windy night we have a dry morning but rain is forecast from lunchtime through to Sunday.

It's 6C at the moment and the sky is partly cloudy.....there's not much wind at the moment.

Same here, but the rain's forecast to return this afternoon. I'm off to take Reggie for a walk before we both get drenched again!

Wet, wet, wet, but at least not too windy.
