I'll set the scene :Onion sets plantedRigid plastic cloche placed over themVents closedFollowing day 3 sets pulled up and moved several inchesNo signs of anything diggingNo gaps for anything to get under the edge of the clocheSets replanted2 days later (today) same thing!?No digging, no holes round the edge, no slime trails (thinking maybe a slug could have gone over them?)Fire away with any ideas
Could they have been pushed up from underground....moles, mice? Edit: Or a very clever squirrel has lifted the cloche.
We have no moles anywhere near here and although we have wood mice and occasionally voles there are no holes below the sets??
Something's making a fool out of me , the same thing happened a couple of years ago and I never found out what the culprit was then I'm not losing sleep over it though , just find it an amusing little mystery
I have a wildlife trap camera, it doesn't work too well at night unfortunately but its worth a go, you never know the perpetrator might be at work during the day!!
This is the sort of thing we had going on, we found out it was a neighbour playing funny jokes, then the jokes became worse then nasty Frogs or Toads living under the soil
