should i trim back the leader now?

    hello, as you can see from the pic i have a couple of shoots growing a lot faster than the rest of the bush.
    i do want this bush to grow tall but i also want to encourage dense growth, i'd like a full bodied bush!
    so should i cut back the leaders and if so, when is the right time of year to do so?

      Well if it was me I would say yes and low down below the height of the rest do that when it shoots they are below the top, then tip prune constantly so it gets a lovely thick round ball.. then each year after so it keeps the shape but keeps growing slowly. :thumbsup:

          Yes indeed zac.
          Some will argue it is too late now but do it asap. :) Makes for greater density
