What's Cooking Today??

Perhaps we should do a separate thread about old cinemas.

 

Turkey and potatoes, cabbage,peas, carrots, sprouts and gravy.

 

I'm simmering a Gammon joint, then will roast it along with Beans, Rice & mash.

 

I made a batch of shepherds pies a while back, took one out of the freezer earlier, also some home grown broad beans.

 

We’ve god a boiled fruit cake gently bubbling away on the stove (it is “stir us up” Sunday!) ready for Christmas. Yet again I got confused between alcohol and water ….

Meanwhile we have a chicken roasting in the oven along with potatoes, shallots, and garlic. Beans and carrots to be prepared later.

And yes it is, buy your favourites and squeeze them out of their skins. It's quite fun too.

 

Yes i always use sausages, get a knife, cut the skin open length ways and peel it off. I always buy taste the difference sausage from Sainsbury's, high in meat, 6 in a pack.

 

Just heating up the BBQ, going to smoke 1.5kg home cured bacon, a 2kg shoulder for pulled pork to freeze and I had a spare fore rib that will get done at the same time. Might have that for dinner

 

I enjoy eating homemade soups either in instant pot,slow cooker or on the stove with home made crusty bread and canadian.ori my hubby often takes to work beets in sandwich or toast
