Going back to basics, why is peat compost so good for growing things in. Had things not been grown just in soil for thousands of years?...

The garden centre bosses will be rubbing their hands! Getting huge stocks of hebes and cordylines in. And of course increasing the prices accordingly.
Come to mention it my phormium is not looking too good. I always thought they are tough as old boots? I'll tidy it up and give it a really good...
Winter takes it's toll. First the cordies, now my hebe is looking worse for wear. I'll follow advice above and cut back and feed when new growth...

I have been with LV for the past two years, as they maintained the price. Never heard of Flow, I'll have a look when the insurance is due.
I had better fully check Gro-Sure out before I buy it. But you find that normal MPC works fine for seeds? I don't grow anything tricky or exotic...
Well peat free seed compost is definitely off the shopping list. I'll stick with my Gro-Sure seed compost, seems to do the job.
