Thanks @cactus_girl and @strongylodon - I knew I could rely on the great knowledge here! I did some more searching, and found an interesting site...
I found a couple of sites that had pix, and it certainly looks like a lesser whitethroat. They seem to migrate for winter too though- maybe he...
Thanks @cactus_girl - I wasn't getting far with my research! Nothing seemed to fit terribly well. I don't know if we get those here, so I'll have...
They can get through a hole the width of a small finger. We used to get them in a previous house because there was a nice little gap in between...
I think I'll stick to the ones my daughter made last week thanks @Tidemark ! It's a bit like fruit cake though, in that the filling will survive...
I also checked the dahlias I stored in the shed @katecat58, and they're ok. They're in a clear box with some shavings, and all of them seem firm....
A damp, windy start here. O'night low was 8 degrees [9 just now at approx. 825am] with a predicted high of about 10, although the strong winds all...
That's what was throwing me @strongylodon - but in many of the pix I looked at, they had quite pale stomachs, so I assumed it was one of those...

Sorry - yes I'll edit that!

I think we did that quite quickly @Liriodendron! We had a good laugh making them. We did an Elton one as well as a Freddie.
I saw the poster's original threads about wanting to get a nursery etc, but it needs to be clarified properly when starting a thread. This one...
I heard about those yesterday on the radio @Tidemark. They'd got sideswiped on their travels. Hope they're ok. It's a hard life being a little bird!
I've just seen this thread and I wonder if this stuff is worth trying. I have the stripey one on the bottom half of the large single pane on my...
