I rip out the forget-me nots when they get it ... cos they look so bad... but just wondered if it was the same stuff as the roses get!
Does the mildew on forget-me-nots spread to roses? ..... or is it a different thing?

If a whole allotment is looking like too much, why not get a friend involved to either help out, or to take on half of it?
Chop it right back , you'll not stop it flowering if it wants to, and it will go tough... it will grow back quickly. Pick off any usable leaves...
Sometimes when you plant onion sets, they pop out of the ground, pop them back in, careful not to damage any new roots!

3" sounds too small for fruiting... get them into bigger pots, keep them well watered and feed them.

Agreed!,, I doubt if it would move sucessfully!. Feed it and put the path around it.. or lose it.
Why start them so early then? for me, I'd wait a bit and get good sturdy plants
I potted on mine up to the seed leaves.. and they are doing fine. I would definately do it that deep with tomatoes... I'll report back if I have...

You're fine... go with it.. broad beans are tough! It's not to late to sow another batch for a later crop... not too warm, or even outside
iI've not even sown mine yet!.. but plant them out when they're ready, but keep an eye on the forescast... if its going to be a cold night cover...
Don't plant with bone meal... they love the smell and dig out anything planted with it! Try tea bags soaked in Jeyes fluid!
