I've made a couple of spiced pumpkin cakes. Very good at this time of year.
Not much going on in the garden apart from leaf gathering! Plenty of sparrows here, probably our most common bird, the odd dunnock and wren.
Had to de-ice the car this morning, icy roads after all the rain. It's now 3c and grey skies, at least the ski stations can now open.
Third day of non stop rain, at least the wind has died down. Plenty of flooding in the garden, a high of 5c today. There should be plenty of snow...
Very rough indeed down here, winds gusting to 90km/h with squally rain. Our Belgian neighbours have returned to Belgium for the winter, they have...
The very warm days have disappeared! We are now back to rain and due to be much colder this week and hopefully see some snow on the mountains.

We have Hen Harriers that migrate down here from northern climes. Saw a male a couple of days ago flying low over our field and neighbouring...

Mine sometimes self seed in the garden, it's always interesting to see what colours they are, so give it a go.
