I tried soapy water spray on my new roses.., they were covered in green and black fly, but had no effect, after consulting the ultimate expert...

What about lonicera nitida?? I planted mine from whips bought fairly cheaply early last year and their coming on nicely[ATTACH]
If that corner piece is pretty shady I would suggest an astilbe I have a hot pink one that really brightens up a corner and although it dies back...

You need a nice apple tree in the middle of that lawn and a path to and from it :) the blossom on my new apple tree is out now and it is so pretty!

I have never grown a rose before and the only climber I have grown is pyracantha which I just cut when growing in the direction I'm not happy...
