    For myself, I'm very sceptical about this method. Gardeners are a thrifty bunch and if this method was used and proved back in the 70's...then I'm certain its how ALL OF US would be doing it now.

    Chap on the plot next to me has a Mantis, reminds me of an angry hornet when it's working!

    It really does create an ideal tilth for growing, and I think this is the point being made in the video!

    With fine soil, the more surface area,so more air pockets, more water retention, more roots, more growth, more crops!

    That's why the "no dig brigade" are spade less!:dbgrtmb:
