Hi High Kype Sorry you lost them all that must have been awful,All my roses are In Clay But what I do is when I dig the Hole I put most of the Clay I have taken out somewhere Else ,but keep a little bit back to use with the new soil and use fresh Top soil to replant them in, about 10% clay 90% new soil mixed And rose fertilizer

    Hello folks. [IMG]

I have seen this Babe and here is my Rhapsody in Blue and, as you say, quite different than yours ...

Mine is very loosed-petalled and shrubby not a climber.

Woo, as I said the other day, here are my other two shrubs (my other eight are minis). Here is RinB with Oranges and Lemons ...

    Oranges and Lemons ...

And here is my gorgeous irridescent Sunseeker ...

Sunseeker was an 18" patio rose which was such as long as it was in it's pot, first on the IoW and then here. Then I decided to plant it in the ground about two years ago and now it is give or take seven foot tall but retains it's tiny leaves and has wonderful clusters of loose-petalled flowers.

All three are beautifully perfumed and it is just heaven to be near them in the warm evenings.

RinB and Sunseeker came from B&Q and Oranges and Lemons from a nursery here. They are all in bud now and the first, an Oranges & Lemons should open in a couple of days. Unfortunately, roses only bloom for a few days but can bloom all year round.

Sorry, these pictures were taken last year before I perfected closeups ... although I'm still working on that.

Hi imp and thank you. [IMG]

The three sit side by side near the outdoor dining area ... maybe I'll be able to get a pic of them all blooming together this year. I did a massive cutback on them and the new growth is looking really good.

Hi Woo,can you tell me if you can by RIB at anywhere or does it have to come from a specialist Rose nursery as I have looked round our local garden centers and can never find one.

Also are they best planted in the Autumn or can they be put in at any time if containerised? [IMG]
