Ei ei kidda I read :dancy: through it all last night so I'm familiar with the guidelines. But what I'm not familiar with is onion growing. I had a total of 2 onions last year grown from seed and that's my entire onion growing experience so go easy on me lol

I will hopefully get mine started at the weekend - the dilemma I have is how many to sow? I have 350 seeds, and will be looking to grow them eventually in one or two of the 150 litre growbags that I have - any ideas how many I should sow to allow for failures?

Undoubtedly, there is much pleasure in growing one's own - and that's indisputable.

I would be tempted only to plant onions as a companion plant, particularly when you consider how cheap they are a 25kg bag (around £5?) from the local Asian market and the space they would otherwise take up in a garden.

I am only doing it for the love of it FatBoy :) - being pretty much a novice at this gardening lark, I set myself up for failure every year and then when I get successes they feel all the more pleasing.
