Harvested the last of mine the other day:frown: Overall, I've been very pleased with my crop this year, especially the outdoor ones. I'm pretty sure the shelter I put up gave the outdoor ones gave a level of protection when we had that cold spell during late May/early June. In the past they have been very slow to get going, but this time the growth was relatively unchecked:)
I'm not sure if I'll be in a position to grow anything next year as I'm looking to move house, we'll see.

              Cheers...Freddy

Lets just say, I'm not happy here...

Yes, I have worked hard here, but it's all for nought if I can't enjoy it.

If that's the case, then don't do as others do and paste pics of somewhere you don't want to live (+ giving details of problem neighbours, etc.) or they'll pick it up on a search engine

It better to be happy and think of the fun you'll have with a new garden and the challenge of making it your own. :)

Today, I made some of your chutney with the last 3 lbs of my big tomatoes Nick. I substituted a Pancha Phoran seed mix for the fried seeds at the beginning of your recipe, added a couple of finely chopped fresh red chillie peppers and some chillie flakes. It simmered for ages and ages 'cos I didn't want it to burn. It finally reduced down into these 2 jars; very concentrated but so very Bangladeshi. I'm gonna love putting some of this in my minced beef or lamb and rice this Winter,

I've still got some outdoors tomatoes cropping [1] - what a season! The only 2 varieties left standing are Sungold and Ferline, although they are now showing signs of blight and cold nights.

Despite a delay in getting off to a start, the Ferlines have performed incredibly well and I'll be growing them again next year, but giving them a bit more TLC early on to get them off to a better start.

I've got a 3°C forecast for around dawn on saturday morning so I'll be picking every last tomato whether outdoors or in poly tunnels (which also have all but finished) on Friday.

[1] I've still got container grown Red Robins cropping, so they'll go into an unheated greenhouse to see how much longer they'll go on producing. This was one of the reasons I grew them.
