    Hi Richard, I am in a hot climate. These are not big pumpkins though, just an old Halloween pumpkin whose seeds ended up in the worm farm, grew, and one was transplanted into a grape's raised bed. And they have several tiny pumpkins, and blossom end rot.

    I have re-dosed them with eggshell tea.

      I put some seeds in pots in a heated propagator the day before I left. They should be through by the time I get back.

        Loli they look like they are doing great did you get a good rate of germination with them

                Here's a pic of my Dills Atlantic giant taken on the 21st April :-

                I got sent 5 seeds (one which was actually half a seed ! ), so planted 4, and I have had 50% germination, my other plant has only just shown it's first set of leaves.

                    Just back from the greenhouse, 1st seed has split and has now been potted up.

                        Just wondering ....

                        I'm not expecting to get the biggest pumpkin, BUT ...

                        Is it advisable to place the growing pumpkin on a pallet as it grows ?

                        As I have seen some huge Pumpkins, and cannot help but think you could damage your pumpkin trying to get it from where you've grown it.
