No signs of botrytis here 'yet' John, beats me how not though:rolleyespink: It's a 'mild' night here at 15 degrees too.I've removed quite a few of the bottom leaves to circulate a bit of air.Why I crammed so many plants in the GH is anyones guess:doh:

Blight is spreading here, sprayed yesterday and today. Pity, as the Plum Tomatoes are nearly there

Its been a very poor year tomato wise for me, despite having loads of plants. Not even sure that I will have a load of greenies for chutney

I've had two lots of botrytis, spaced 6 weeks apart and both outdoors, but fortunately the rest of mine haven't surcumbed. Unfortunately, somewhere between having most of my tomatoes outdoors and receiving seedlings very late from other people, I'm going to be left with lots of green ones too. Did a load of leaf removal in the greenhouse earlier this evening, but I could do with warmish weather throughout September.

Tomatoes are so unpredictable from year to year! I didn't think I was going to see any this year but the plants suddenly got going and they are now loaded. I've never had a problem with botrytis or blight so I count myself lucky.

Cinnamon......the weather's looking good for September at the moment so you may get your wish. :)

Mine (sown June 1st) are looking unlikely to ripen. The cold weather of the last couple of weeks has put paid, I think. A pity, as they were growing well. The plants had reached the greenhouse roof a few weeks ago, so I was quite hopeful. Ah well, one of those things.

I won't give up on them, but the fruit seems stalled, not a good sign methinks.

Are the fruit up to size? Would it be worth trying to ripen some indoors?

One or two aren't far off, but generally still quite small.

Worth putting a heater on fan-only perhaps? Maybe on a 15-minute segment timer for 15-on and 45-off (or something like that)

I've found in winter that approach prevented pretty much all moulds, compared to previous seasons

                            Good morning all:smile:

                            Indigo Rose.
                            Greenhouse grown

3 plants produced 107 fruit,They reached the height of 4 feet, the size of the fruit was on average a plum size,I planted them at the end of April approximately 16 weeks to now, only 20% are ripe,I also noticed that when ripe the purple colour turns back to red, The taste is really sweet 9/10.
On reflection a tad disappointed ,I will not try them next year:smile: my score for them is 6/10:smile:

So they are too sweet @wiseowl and maybe not tangy enough for you? Just trying to clarify as I really like the look of them.
