My broad beans have sprouted in the propagator so I'm hoping to get them out soon and get going on other seeds to take their place.
Is there a month by month thread- veg propogation, planting out, sowing indoors, sowing outdoors - schedule anyone goes by as a to-do-list reminder? Doink that I am, last year I forgot runner beans as well as radishes.*

        * spot the hidden agenda :heehee:

I'm growing veg I haven't done so until now, so all a bit experimental.

Just sown outdoors under cloches: spring onions, swiss chard, and some starter lettuce under cover as well. And some radishes in open ground.
Broad beans have just popped in the propagator and will harden those off a bit before planting out. Got cabbage seed in the propagator now.

Wondering if next would it be too early for Mange Tout?

What is to think about for early march?

Rhurbarb that I grew from seed last spring looks like it has done well over the winter and just about to unfurl more from the crown.

              Cheers
              GG

We might be buying our first house this year so my veg plans are soon to go out the window I think. Not really sure what to do... :(

Some of the gardens with the houses we can get in the area(s) we like are so depressing.

Carry on growing veg till the last second, you never know how long things are gonna take, you can leave veg for the next people, but you can't eat what you haven't sown if there's any delay.

I have just potted on tomatoes and cucumbers which I had in heated propagators under lights. Chillies and aubergines doing well but I am running out of space.

Leeks are also in a big tub under lights but they aren't doing so well. They are last year's seeds. I'm wondering if I should just put them on the window ledge and give them a bit more time.

I feel like that greyhound at the top of the page…… (even though I am only a labrador :doggieshmooze:)
