Sue, I've got some grown from seed that are still tiny seedlings. They are cherry types though. The big beefsteak varieties and other late maturing types do need a long growing season, so it's too late to plant them. How about buying some plants that are ready to into their final pots/bed?

Whereabouts are you - I could spare a few plants if it helps?

You can transplant them even when they have fruit forming, just handle them carefully as the stems can easily snap.

My dwarf tomato plants are still tiny. But they are growing flowers! what should I do? Should I remove the flowers?

Considering mine were late shop bought and plonked in, mine seem to be doing well so far despite the chilly weather and windiness. In fact they seem to be trussing (is that a word?) much lower down and the main stems are thicker and sturdier than usual. The only difference I can think of is that I really gave the raised bed they are in a good going over in the autumn and used a fair bit of lovely home-made kitchen waste compost well dug in. Still, well behind the greenhousers.

Ah, shame - had mine been a bit smaller, I would have posted them, but they are pretty big now. Hope you find some soon
