A really naff tomato growing year for me too. I've had 4 peas sized toms from the window box ones - sweet and tasty but virtually none to follow,

I've shut the greenhouse up completely as it is quite chilly out this evening, and we have heavy winds and rain forecast for tomorrow. We still haven't had a summer yet!

A nice selection there John  If I were to grow for flavour only, I'd probably only grow Sungold, but it's nice to get different colours I reckon. Roasted in the oven, with mixed herbs, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and black pepper, delish :)

The Sungold and yellow pear (ildi) are delicious Freddy but the others are either watery or bland, I wonder if they have been taking so long to ripen the taste has gone. So far a bit disappointing.

When I think about it, it seems you're right about Toms that take a long time to ripen, lacking flavour. The Toms in my greenhouse need stopping now, and there are fruits all the way up, yet none looking like they're going to ripen any time soon lower down.
Is that Iildi or ildi John? I grew ildi a few years back (outdoors) and they weren't pear shaped, more like a grape I'd say?

here are mine in a cold greenhouse. They are four weeks behind the ones I have in another greenhouse which had some heat earlier in the year. The ones which were heated we have been picking for the last two weeks. These ones are just starting to show signs of ripening, one of the beefsteaks at the back is the most advanced. Like everyone else I am finding that everything is a few weeks later than last year.

ildi - sorry a typo corrected now :)

First time I've grown them, so wasn't sure what to expect. Some are more elongated than pear shaped - they are pretty small but I'm putting that down to them being outdoors.

The only tomato I am getting anywhere with are one's from the
GC tomato pack...Angelo's Bulgarian (beefsteak)? Are they
from someone who went on holiday to Bulgarian and knows someone
                          called Angelo?

They are from a GC member named Angelina who lives in Bulgaria. She sent them to me a couple of years ago and I entered them in the Biggest Tomato competition. I called my prodigy Angelo as he was a handsome brute. I think I came third but Scrungee won overall.
Hope it comes good for you. It tastes very yummy too,
