Loofah, I do hope someone's been plantsitting for you cos it's been hot at times.

My first outdoor tommy is ripening. May even be ready tomorrow. :hapydancsmil:

Kind of. I asked the neighbours to do the watering but it can be a bit haphazard. I wonder what awaits me...

Ive only got three toms growing this year - a couple of cherry types from seed that are coming on nicely & this grafted monster from the suttons "turbo" plants range:

yes - its up to the roof of the greenhouse already & has two or three trusses of fruit on the go.. time will tell if its worth the money in increased cropping, but its certainly vigorous ! - Ive let it grow two of the sideshoots from the base too.. we will see.

2 hundreds and thousands have been binned, other 2 looking ok. Golden sunrise are good too, might have to move a marigold and get stakes in soon. Found a neglected gardeners delight tucked away out the back, small but looks ok  Wish I had a greenhouse mine are about a 3rd of the size of your lot!

All is well! Back from a week away and my fears of incinerated plants were unfounded thankfully, in fact the whole garden is looking better for a bit of neglect...

I've just harvested my first outdoor tomato...Surprise Siberia, which is 'cocktail' sized. Also harvested my first courgette and greenhouse mini cuc. And had a good motivational talk (swearing session) at the lazy tomatoes in my greenhouse.

Quick question for the Guildford area (John, @JWK that's you!) - is anyone leaving the greenhouse doors open at night yet?

Here in the southwest, I've been leaving the greenhouse door open for a couple of weeks now.

I'm in the East Midlands and leaving mine open at night. (Will close it if the temp is forecast to go right down though.)

Had my doors open since Shineyland, only got 2 toms in there now, which i'm hoping are Angelina's Bulgarian ones, had a accident when planting them, shelf collapsed and spilled the seed tray.

These 2 have come up where the tray fell, but they could easily be self seeded plum tomatoes from last year
