Back in early spring, I dug several barrow loads of soil out of the chicken run and spread it all over the veg patch. I thought it might help produce a few decent vegetables, I wasn't wrong!

Monster Webb's Wonderful lettuce, about 15 inches in diameter and still growing. :hate-shocked:

Two huge courgette plants, already at least 4 ft across and they've only just started fruiting. :yikes:

Oooh, how exciting, @Zigs ! Also those courgettes and lettuce look absolutely amazing, @Trunky !!! Cor!

I am excited as it's raining, the garden needs some drinking, and there are some chilli fruits forming on my "not sure if that will work" chilli plants with very old seeds, which are growing on the sunniest windowsill! Exciting!

Wow you all are doing really well. I hope mine turn out as well as yours have. Spectacular is all I can say. We are waiting very Impatiently I must say for the onions to grow. We have Gherkins and cucumbers coming out of our ears. And some 2 - 3ft marigolds. Tomatoes are doing okay just a bit behind. Not had a good crop of peas so we had to sow some more :rolleyespink:

Here is the very large Gherkins (blame my mum apparently that's how they are lol :love30:) that we have pickled today they smell delicious. I will take some pics of the veg growing when it stops raining :old:
