Looks as good as the seed supplier's images! Don't forget that saved seeds will come true next year.

I had some of the Shirley and Ailsa Craig trusses break under the weight and so I've strung them up by the stems in the Green House and they seem to be turning red before the others are doing.:dunno::snorky:

Now thinking I prematurely picked minibel.. it's bright red from suppliers pics!

Saved some seed from bnqs' tomato berry plants for next year.. try before you don't buy and all that..

Even though I'm only growing Tumblin Tom I'm having a similar issue with the plant in the veg trug but not the ones in hanging baskets. I've resorted to putting empty flower pots on the soil at the base of the plant to give the trusses something higher to lean over and spread the weight!
Mine are still green too, but, there are signs afoot of one or two just about to change colour :fingers crossed:

Anyone else used the self tensioners that spool out line with a hook on the end and the unit is tied to a support. There is a spring in the mechanism which gently guided the truss up as it is always under a slight tension? we are using them in the poly and so far pretty much a success for us.

Dan McCoy's Big Zac strain, unfortunately none of the megablooms have developed into tomatoes, so no whoppers this year :frown:

Any chance of having a good old tomato seed swap? There are some very interesting varieties on this thread I'd like to get my mitts on. I've got stuff to swap: teton de Venus is the best unusual tomato variety I grow. Distinctive cute shape. Fruit up to 500g, solid sweet and juicy flesh with virtually no seeds, cavity or juice. Vine type best grown in a greenhouse.
