    A Grand Day Out three
    Today: Saturday
    Place : York
    Event: York Food festival
And the sun was shining again. The best Yorkshire produce on show and what a show it was. I could have spent an arm and a leg today but the four bags we had were full!
This first picture was a chef from the York uni explaining how the Romans used to cook using those large jars and the oven you can see in the background.

An offering from the Thai community.

Check out the fruit.... seems to be scaring the .......out of the Thai lass. or was it me and my camera?

Bought a bag of stuff from these people, as we have before.

This is it at home. Some of Yorkshires best.

    Grand Day out 4
The good old Yorkshire sun was up and about this morning.
So the plan was, after abit of house keep it was time to leave with a picnic and head away somewhere.
York to Helmsey and up to Hawnby for a stop at Hazel Heads which is an open public area for the picnic, it was very quite with just us two there.
    First three pictures are Helmsey.

A short walk to this delightful stream shows a lot a promise for some really nice photos on a future visit with maybe a bit more water.
