      I think I'll stick to the ones my daughter made last week thanks @Tidemark !
      It's a bit like fruit cake though, in that the filling will survive nuclear war, but I certainly wouldn't fancy the pastry after that length of time. :frown:

      I don't like the usual shop bought ones as they're far too sweet for me, but my daughter adds other stuff to knock that back a bit. I'd still rather have cake [home made] but it's too easy to eat.

        That was my Oh’s first reaction. Also, when he was “unwrapped” his first words were “I’m a civilian’, which I thought a bit odd.
