A Joke Or Two 2023/24

It was on my bucket list of places to visit, but I'm having second thoughts

 

For years in the UK we would do a 4th of July BBQ (T'other Half is American) for +/-60 folk (mostly his friends) and the above is true. A few years before we left there I refused to participate ... so it ended.

@Pete8 my Dad was stationed there in the early 60's and we lived just outside of Kuala Lumpur for 3 years. Went to school there where we only did half days but we did have to go on a Saturday morning. In 2015, one of my sis' and I stopped over in KL for a few nights on our way to our niece's wedding in Australia. We decided to visit old stomping grounds. It was joyous and I would go back there again in a heart beat and would recommend a visit to anyone - a delight!

 

I'm sure it's a fantastic place to visit and I'd love to, but realistically it probably won't happen.
I did often go to Ko Samui in the 90's before it got over-developed and I thought that was paradise.
Amazing food, fabulous beaches and the friendliest people I've ever met.
Back then it was 80Bhat to £1 and you'd get change from a fiver for a tiger prawn diner and several beers!

 

@Pete8, I never visited Thailand but it sounds, from your description, similar to Malaysia (as it is called now. It was just Malaya when we were there), which is why I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I'm not sure whether the owner of this house can get out - or in!!
If I was next door, I'd be rather concerned.
I wouldn't want to buy either of them!!

 

I see you've been out with your candid camera again @RowlandsCastle! I have to agree with you though. I love wild gardens but that is extreme!
