A Joke Or Two 2023/24

Back then most comedians had different routines one suitable for TV, one for theatres, one for working mens clubs and corporate events etc.
Apparently Bob Monkhouse's routine for private clubs was well past the knuckle and into dark blue.

 

Pretty much how it should be really, different types of audiences want different humour.
Walking about and just swearing, has never been funny to me, like most modern comedians seem to.
In the old days it was about timing and how it was told, even if you had heard it before it was still funny if told in a different way.

 

Sums things up nicely.

 

Been to see my friend John, he's Hung up about something, he works in a picture gallery.

 

Now that's out of a christmas cracker.

 

No this morning i was listening to Tony Blackburn at 8am and people send jokes in.

 

And you sent that one in?

 

No somebody else sent it in.
