A Joke Or Two 2023/24

I think we need a 'groan' button @Logan.

 

That's what would have happened to me if I'd dared talk back to him! Not any longer though, the kids talk back to you as if you were one of them - be you their father or gdad!

 

We had kind parents, they were gentle and friendly, and if something was wrong they would explain why, and then we understood not to do it again. We were not afraid of them and we didn't need to talk back to them. We were never hit and none of us have ever hit anyone. I can not understand why a parent would terrify their child so much. It makes no sense to me.

And it's no good saying things like 'well it didn't do me any harm' etc, because I am just as good a person as those who were hit, so that proves it doesn't make you a better person. All it proves is that you had impatient parents who didn't care that they frightened you.

 

As Frank Carson would say, That's a cracker.
And we haven't got past bonfire night yet.

 

Here's another, why couldn't the skeleton go to the party? Because he didn't have anybody to go with.
