Very much so @NigelJ. I spent quite a few weekends in Dovercourt on the edge of Essex with my parents when I was growing up. The dialect was the same but slightly softer than Suffolk/Norfolk.

Although I don't have the dialect I do pronounce certain words the same way. For instance - Londoners will normally pronounce Maldon as Morden, I pronounce it Muldon. Aldham I pronounce as Oldham. The 'H' is silent.
