I want to grow my own food, but I can't find any Bacon Seeds...

 

Due to climate change, the rungs on ladders have been changed by a few inches due to changes in height of folks .

It would be GREAT if they made the rungs on ladders just a tad closer together! It's not so bad going up, but coming down my foot wants the next rung down to be just an inch or two closer.

Here's a story of one Christmas.

My husband had always wanted a remote control toy so he bought one for our daughter, aged then about 6.

Unfortunately the plastic remote control helicopter failed to turn on and the aforementioned husband shook, banged and cursed the toy to the lowest levels of hell, elbowing Dante away from his path.

He got very upset and immediately emailed the company with dire threats of Trading Standards and so on.

Once we got him distracted with some chocolate, the Child and I opened the manual and, as instructed on the first page, pulled out the thin strip of plastic protecting the battery from connecting and happily flew the helicopter around the living room.

Lessons were learnt. "Read the manual before you start" (learnt by The Child), "always have sweet treats at hand" (me) and potentially some other learnings as well but I never heard back

 

Love it, Selleri I had a similar experience after buying some ear-bud thingies on the plane en route to Guadeloupe. To be fair, I did read the (badly translated from Chinese) instructions to the letter but they didn't work. I debated about whether to try to get my money back on the return flight, but just couldn't be bothered. Whilst having the battery replaced in my phone, once home, I asked the chap to have a look at the ear buds. He smiled pityingly and removed the sticky plastic from the recharge terminals Oh the shame!
