Yup, I reckon "CPP" :) would be spot on.

I'm going to try a Nitrogen boost this year. I haven't bothered before (relying on manure etc. in the ground), but I'd like to get two cobs per plant (or even "per some-of-the-plants"!!) and I wnat to see if more Nitrogen helps. If they grow like stink and then fail to cob up I'll have to buy a cow and make silage for it!!

Avery brief update, as I have been struggling to get over to the plot, not much has been done, but there is plenty to do :( , as and when I turn up, I have something on the agenda I want to get done, and then on seeing something else that needs doing, that then takes priority :rolleyespink: .

So, what have I done ?

Well, a bit of weeding, very interesting :snork: , the boy found it boring as well

I have finally got my finger out and got more chipped bark and have tidied up around the shed area, and hopefully, no more weeds will come through, and if they do, they will be easier to keep on top of :-

I've also put a few more things in the planter :-

And I have finally placed most of the plants I am growing this year in their final positions in the tunnel :-

And a quick video of the inside of my tunnel :-

And this is a brief walk down the allotment (done 2nd June) showing the beginning of a Pumpkin :-

Though this hasn't been done at the allotment, I'll put it here... I have setup a couple of chilli plants to grow hydroponically

        Raised in compost :-

And then the root system washed :-

An air pump to supply oxygen to the root systems and to also move the nutrients around the buckets :-

And this is the 2 I have going :-

The chilli plant on the Left has been running a bit longer, and has also been subjected to 'pruning', which stimulates more growth and increased production.

OOh, babbies on the pumpkin ......... :yay: And the herbs are settling in. What a drag - the weeds around the Leeks? / Onions? This is when, as you say, the boring but necessary work kicks in - keeping abreast of the weeds.
          Thanks for the update Nathan,
          Jenny

Extra pocket money for weeding might create additional interest.

Me too ... a few years ago i went to an auction as they had some nice greenhouse staging in the catalogue ... when i got there the staging wasn't suitable, but I bought the barn, in which they were holding the auction, instead :)
