      I think the photo 5 is Daphne mezereum too. I have only seen this plant once in Kew Gardens.

        We had one many decades ago as a plant that was being thrown away next door. It survived for about 3 years and then we lost it, probably because we are on clay soil. A lovely plant.

          It has, thanks Perki. I've got good soil in this new garden which probably makes a difference, it's a pleasure to work with it. :)
