Yes, and the same for other trades aswell.

Im sure this will kick off another debate but a lot of the problems are being exacerbated by imigrant labour.

The thing is, as has been said before. These people are coming here, taking jobs and then sending the money back to Eastern Europe. If they kept the money in the UK they would be much better thought of. One estimate of the amount of money being sent out of the country is 2 billion pounds. Ludicrous.

Not wishing to start this all up again, but,....
We seem to be two way losers on the immigrant thing.
If they come to work and then go back home the money goes with them, if they stay, they then bring over all their dependants, who seem to be immediately covered by our services.
The chances are that they have paid very little into the system.
We have a house in my street that a few years ago contained one family, husband wife and three kids, the two daughters now have husbands who were brought over to marry them, they now have kids themselves.
They all still live in the same house, who knows what the son is doing.
I guess he's probably training to be a freedom fighter somewhere in the world.
The next step will be that the house is not big enough and they need rehousing, at which point more relatives will probably appear, and so it goes on.
And who can blame them, they would never be given housing in their own country.

But, would you be allowed to get away with it Pete? I think not.

The audacity of politicians amazes me. Peter Hain fails to register over £100,000.00 of donations and is still working.Gordon Brown, apparantly, backs him, even though the police have been asked to investigate. It`s no wonder we are the laughing stock of the world.

    A law unto themselves, David.

They're all politicians and stand only for themselves but we've been down this road before. [IMG]
