In the main, mine were grown outside. But, the cooler weather came earlier than the complete ripening of the fruits, so they were moved to my b-a (with 'door' left open) to give some protection :)

The taste wasn't 'explosive' but neither was it bland. To be fair, I did prefer them cooked rather than raw though.

I've just completed a germination test on the Manx Marvel seed I've collected.

I put twenty seeds on damp tissue in a plastic container kept around 21 deg C.

          15 seeds germinated after 5 days (75%)
          18 seeds germinated after 7 days (90%)

This is a better result than I expected so I'm very confident that we will be supplying viable seed to those that want some.

Aren't many people going to grow Manx Marvel this season? I've never grown toms before but FC very kindly sent me some maskotka seeds to try outdoors in containers this year although I have got a little blow away so I may try some in there too. I think that will be enough for me this year due to lack of space, experience and facilities but things could change in 2015 so I may ask for some Manx Marvel then if there are any available. :)

I'd stick my name down for some, but as things stand, I'm not sure if I will be growing any tomatoes this year...

I'm up for giving a few a shot - I have plenty room; am I too late?

@Fern4 - I have some of the wee millefluer that I can send you if you want to try them (little sweet yellow fellows that need an early start)
