      I remember it well, lolimac. I think the lovely village of Tissington is not far away, which is another beautiful village where they do the Well Dressings.:snork:

        We had alovely time and all though we're not 'into' cycling ourselves the farmer told us that the UK tour of Britain cycling race was passing through Hulme End and Warslow that week so we thought we'd have a gander...it was so exciting:hapfeet:....only saw Wiggins and Cavendish:yes:...i went all peculiar again;)

            Gorgeous photos armandii & loli :wub2: im 5 mins drive from hardwick hall,derbyshire is stunning :spinning: A lot of places ive not been to yet like blue johns mines mentioned by armandii ,chatsworths garden centre is great,ive bought a plants few from there and driving through takes your breath away just with the wildlife...they are all so laid back,(sheep ,pheasants ect wondering round) x

              Blue John cavern is fantastic. There's another one along the same road that I always wanted to go in but never got round to it. From the pics, it seems you go round in a boat because its like an subterranean lake.

              While in that area (literally within walking distance), Mam Tor is worth a walk up if you're feeling fit. You get great views from the top.
