Great shots David looks like my sort of place,it's funny how a lot of these places have a golden pheasant lurking in the undergrowth.

There was a nice little covey of them wandering around, Walnut. Also some Red Pheasant, but these were more camera shy.

Hi folks. It looks superb (once I focus in on it :D ) I especially like that bridge. Seeing those fish reminds me of the 'friends' I left behind at my last house :( I wish I had the space for a decent sized pond. Ah well, can't have it all I guess. Thanks for sharing the pics folks, another place to visit :thumb:

Hi Dai. It's 28 acres and FULL of it ? Also, would spring be the best time to visit ? As an aside, if you get a chance and are near Newquay (Cornwall) sometime, this place is worth a visit http://www.angelfire.com/wv/thebonsainursery/ It's not a big place, but it's SO tranquil, I've been there 3 times myself. Sorry if I went a bit off-thread, but thought it was worth a mention. Cheers...freddy.

Actually Freddy, we rented a cottage just across the road from it about 4 years ago. Even asked them for a job as I`d just been made redundant from the garden centre. As you say, very restful and peaceful. Love Cornwall, but much too commercial now. That`s why we`ve started visiting Dorset. More relaxed and older person friendly.:D

If you want good surfing, or a romantic weekend, don`t go to Newquay go to Crantock.:thumb:

Surfing ? At my age ? :lollol:(I can do the romance thing though  ) I used to visit Cornwall quite a bit in years gone by and like you, I now find it too commercial. As I've said before, we moved last year, therefore the tourer had to go :( (no space to keep it where we are now) and we HAD planned on visiting a lot of places in Dorset. Hmm, gone off-thread again, sorry about that :D Cheers...freddy.
