Louise, if you are visiting the gardens look out for the golden Pheasant, they are stunning.

I'm really looking forward to going - one of the garden centres near here do daytrips to gardens and this is one of them - i've done various searches and it looks a lovely place and i can't wait :D

 

Take the 'new' Magnolia walk up to the viewing point as on a clear day westward you can see as far as Exeter and beyond.

In the corner up by the road by the gazebo and small bridge there is a dry rock bed and high wall which makes it a sun trap, if you are interested and it is a sunny day the Wall Lizards can be seen sunning themselves there.
