Adenium obesum (Desert Rose)

My little Adenium Nursery (infiltrated with two Plumeria seedlings and one baby Achimenes) ...

... and the litle newbie in the blue pot in front is a three-day old Double Purple Adenium.

 

I think this should be in Succulents ...

However, my first red bloom opened today ...

 

From my Facebook Adenium Group a guy posted this today entitled My Nursery in Thailand ...

 

Did he have postage charges?

 

I thought I had posted this a few weeks ago but obviously not ... a street in Thailand ...

 

I believe they have a 12 month growing season, even under glass its at best 6 months here.

 

My third one has started blooming ...



Two of the five Lluang Lai planted the other day are up plus two Amata and three Varigated.

 

just a quick picture of mine now its settled in the new pot.
The shine has come back on the leaves and it looks healthier even though flowering is not great.

 

It looks great. I have really fallen in love with them ... and J even likes them too and does a close examination daily!

Here were mine yesterday ( tiny compared to yours). How old is yours?


How are your Plumerias doing?

 

Its about 15yrs old from seed, might be closer to 20, but I lost the best flowering one, this one is a bit hit and miss.

Plumerias are doing ok, but they are scattered around, some in porch and others in the two greenhouses, so a bit of a bind to try to get them all together for a pic, possibly at the end of the season, I actually burnt one in the hot spell, had it too close to the greenhouse glass, its recovering now but not happy.

Yes, I am quite chuffed that I have found something I can do from seed successfully ... Caudex plants, Adeniums and Jatrophas! I have 24 Adeniums and five seeds to plant ...

... and I dream of them looking like this (taken from a Brazilian collector and I have asked how old they are) ...
