Maybe the dose was slightly too high and that's what upset him:dunno:...

Just out of curiosity, how would a vet weigh a cat? I can't guarantee that he will 'sit and stay' on the scales.!!!! :heehee:

You put the cat in a carrying case and weigh both, then you weigh the carry case on its own and do the maths. That's how ours get done anyway.
Glad the cat is better. We are very lucky, there are no other cats in the area so fleas are not a major problem. Might be if the feral tom we see sometimes turns up again though.

Glad to hear that all is well with your fur baby Val:yes: I can now go ahead and do my cats although Poppy has now stopped scratching and haven't found any flea dirt in her for a couple of days so perhaps the Frontline has started working, unless the fleas have dropped off outside or in our carpets:yikes:

Our vet weighs our cats on a set of scales inside the treatment room up on the table where they are examined and as there is a cradle big enough to hold our furries they have no problem being weighed.:snork:

As Poppy has this over active Thyroid problem it is important that she is weighed each visit so that the correct dosage of meds can be given to us so that the problem is kept under control.

My cat stays still out of fear at the vets! At home, I stand on our scales while holding her, then stand on just me, and minus the difference, easiest way :)
