I have anti-sickness pills as well because sometimes you simply can't keep the pills down for the pain. :( Happy days!

I've several migrane triggers. The pale yellow broom, daffodils, oilseed rape, diesle fumes and stress to name a few but the biggest and most deblitating attacks come if I am in a room full of cigarette smoke. Oddly, red wine (in moderation :D ) or cheese have no effect on me.

Feverfew, Meadowsweet or witch hazel should be used with caution if there are other conta-indications for asprin (stomach ulcers particularly) but feverfew is a very old 'cure all' remedy and used sensibly should be relatively safe.

Frogesque, I have probably passed some of them flowers when i take rosa for her walk, red wine i dont drink white wine i do occasionally, dont go out that much so i dont have to go into a roomful of smokers. Stress with me is a big factor at present.
Cheese i can eat but chocolate is a no no but sometimes i get a chocolate mode then i know a few days later a migraine comes on, i do try and not eat chocolate.

As so many of us seem to suffer from migraine could gardening be the link? ;)

Your triggers are quite unusual. Do any other yellow flowers affect you? Is it the colour or do you have to touch them? Or maybe the scent?
I have the more usual triggers - alcohol (haven't had a drink since 1964), chocolate, peanuts, citrus fruit etc. I also can't stand cigarette smoke but that affects my throat. I'm also allergic to the leaves of tomatoes, courgettes and cucumbers and some conifers - all of them can bring me out in a rash. Not really a problem because I wear gloves - and long sleeves where necessary.

The one main thing for bringing out migraines in me is stress.I then get a terrific headache with shimmering lights and my vision goes,so if there were two people standing side by side I would only see one.

I have to lay down in a dark room to sleep it off, then for days afterwards my head feels like it is being chisled.

Since leaving my stressful job three years ago, touch wood I haven't suffered with one since,so that turned out to be the best treatment.

I do get headaches even now but that is usually due to dehydration

I get excactly the same syptoms as you kandyfloss, got one is asda once and with having the car with the vision going i had to get out of asda and sit in the car for an hour until it ceased before i could drive home.
I have also had them on motorways now there is an experience sitting on the hard shoulder as you cant drive not with the fizzy double vision, you would definately crash the car iff you started driving. [IMG]
