Bof??.....errrr no, N'importe quoi??......ummmm, no..... it's a sort of a cross between a raspberry sound and a rapidly-deflating balloon. Does that help? :roflol:

@noisette47 I don't cook breads but I do Sabjis. The curry above was a typical one. I used lots of fresh ginger in it and some white and black mustard seeds

I didn't either, but it's impossible to buy decent naan here, so I've started dabbling with that :) Going to work up to the others next winter  The pickles are a good way of using up the lime and aubergine crops...

Mrs Shiney's father was the expert pickle maker. When they lived in Calcutta he used to make them at home and sell them to the shops. He gave up his other work as he loved making the pickles. :blue thumb:

Progress "has not been good" in negotiations to reach a post-Brexit trade deal, the Tánaiste (Irish deputy PM) has said.

                          Oh lordy no.....:yikes:

The UK seems to want to pick the areas where they want a deal early and solely focus on those, while the EU has made it clear that's not an approach they can work with," added the tánaiste.

EU not happy with the UK using EU negotiating tactics from Tess's days....how sad

It will be very serious for the Republic of Ireland as it works to rebuild its economy in a post Covid-19 world, added the minister.

That's correct Mr. Coveney - it's time to re evaluate Barney's negotiating strategy. The UK is not going to be bullied :dbgrtmb:.

They want free permanent access without review to our fisheries and won't move past that single issue so can't see how the EU can be upset at our approach. Anyhoo, the government get a free pass this year which is convenient if there's no deal as any economic impact can be blamed on CV19.

Seems ironic, but was watching on the news the other day that most of our fishermen are idle at the moment because they have lost the continental market for their fish.
Seems we don't buy enough over here to make it worth their while going out.
