I was really surprised to hear that Ursula von der Leyen said she was "prepared to go the extra mile" to get an agreement.

      Not Kilometer, but MILE.

Sounds like the BBC sowing the seeds of a panic buy.

I consider much of the present fears, amount to scaremongering.

Whatever happens, the opportunity is being created for new businesses to open to fulfil or overcome the gaps presented by higher tariffs from the EU. Chefs have often said that UK cheeses are now the best they can get, we produce world class sparkling wine, fantastic meat, have plenty of land that can be productive (even if not at the moment!)... What is there the EU makes that we genuinely NEED?
Car production seems to be shifting back to the continent but that's understandable if aggravating, but the much touted move of finance hasn't materialised, it's still very comfy in London thanks :)
Much pain to come ovr the next 24 months but we'll get there, with or without the deal (that is or isn't done)

Went to Lidl this morning and the frozen fish section was stripped bare.

Either that was caused by shoppers after bargains using the 20% off frozen fish voucher on the Lidl App, plus getting it as part of a £40 shop and using the £10 off £40 vouchers that were in The Sun and Times last week to get it really cheap.

Or it was the French panic buying fish :yikes:

I'm getting ready for a Boris cave in.
I'm assuming the talking is about how it can be done, in such a way, to make it look like he hasn't.;)
