There are some good plants out there.
I suffered a nasty hot water burn on my arm a few weeks ago.
    Oh it was nasty....
Neigbors "Aloe vera" came to the rescue.
The gel from that plant was so soothing.
and I believe stopped my skin blistering.
I now have one growing in my conservatory.
I can highly recommend it as a treatment for burns.

A colleague came to work one monday a while ago, covered in blisters up his arms, he had been helping clear giant hogweed from the side of a canal using a strimmer and didn't realise they were so nasty.

    Thats a nasty beast.
And I believe its reportable and causes problems with contracted work on loads of sites. Came across it on one of may treatment plants.

    JWK, Done that also!!!

A few years back I spent a portion of the summer doing subbed vegation cutting in xmass tree plantations. The norm was a 5 am start, work till 11.30 sunbathe till 3 then work till 8pm (it was pice work and the money was good hence the hours)

Anyhow one morning I must have hit some hog weed with the clearing saw, due to the dew it soaked through the shirt i was wearing, all was well until I stopped at 11.30, and after two hours with my top off sunbathing my chest was agony and id come out in blisters!!!

How long have you got for me to asnwer that?

It is true that some people are more tolerant to chlorine then others.
The industry is so closely monitored now and water companies always fear quality failures as it goes against them when its time to doll out the money.
If you really feel strongly about this, best advise is to complain. Your water should then be sampled and actioned if out of very strict parameters.

    Tis true
    But..
    Theres always a but.
If the process uses chlorination then in time the chlorine will come out.
If the process uses Chloramination the time is longer by quite a big factor.
Now you are thinking how long?
    Depends on;
    type of chlorine.
    teperature
surface area and probable a host of other reasons.

Me, with a Poncirus trifoliata that hooked me behind a ear (call me Dumbo), a bad scratch and some bleeding but nothing to compare with your misadventure. I was so cross that I gave away the plant, now that I think of it I swapped it with a small Agave macroacantha, lol.
