Air fryer recommendations

    I suppose if it could be left on indefinitely and got forgotten it would be a fire risk, being a relatively small volume. What I do is set the timer to a bit less than I think I need, or to the time I want to turn something, then put it on for a bit longer. And you can stop it before the time's up by pulling out the cooking container - that switches it off, and if there's still time left it starts again when you put it back in. If you don't need it to start again you can turn the time dial to zero. Pretty much like a microwave.

    I never know exactly how long anything is going to take to cook, whatever method I'm using. Even boiling the kettle takes a smidge longer if the water's straight from the tap on a cold day than it does if it's been standing a while and come up to room temperature.
