I like AT, Monty and Toby in real gardening shows, not the ponsy last couple of series AT has done. Not overly keen on Joe Swift. He has so many "absolute favourites" it's confusing

What really gets my goat though is Gardeners World on Sky.

It's not the quality of programme, its the fact that OH watches them morning & night and they are repeated to death, and then some.:wallbang::wallbang::wallbang:

Another thing, where's Christine Walkden. I really enjoyed her series. Is she not PC?

My favourite celeb gardener is Chris Beardshaw, by farrrrr.

I find Alan to be a douchebag, always have. Like when he says before the first ad break 'and if you have enough, why not buy this luxury hammock for your garden?' and the price comes on the screen and it's £7,000....

To be honest its just good to have a gardening programme on tv :thumb:

However I do like Monty and AT was really good on Gardeners World, not sure about his latest series on ITV - bit too 'commercial'.

I agree with you Kyle Chris was very good on GW, he could definitely have done that programme himself, I used to enjoy his own series' Winter Flying Gardener etc. :thumb:

Also have to say the Christine Walkden's programme was great down to earth real gardening, nothing made 'glossy' for tv :thumb:

If we're talking programmes then I think 'Love Your Garden' is aimed at the novice gardener, whereas Gardeners' World is for everbody including more experienced gardeners.

In terms of presenters, I like both Monty and Alan, but if it were a choice of them both presenting the same programme, I would prefer Alan. :love30:

Can't stand Carol though, she just irritates me.

Something to cheer up those pining for more Gardening Shows - there's even the inevitable cat.
Go to full screen to appreciate the photography.

          Enjoy:thumb:

I'm defo a Monty fan.....not an alan fan...I find him a little patronising....and I always feel like he's trying too hard to get on a pally level with you, and as kyleleonard say's always plugging some ridiculously expensive and un-practical product. Carol Klein, now she is my favourite.....ok her voice got on my wick at first.....but warmed to her eventually. I LOVE her passion!! And her garden at glebe cottage is brilliant if you ever get a chance to go to the open day. Met her gardeners world live at a book signing in June, lovely lady and gave me very useful advice about shade :)
