You could have it in the morning, Babe, as often the post is only two days from here to there as it all goes air mail ... much longer t'other direction for some odd reason!

You in waiting anticipation, me in cringing anticipation.

I did my Santa Clara lake painting yesterday / today and t'other half said ... it doesn't have a WOW factor! [IMG]

Your painting has a lot to live up to ... I just hope, no pray, you like it ...

It is beautiful. I can't believe you have painted it for me. It is one of my most treasured posessions.

It is really difficult to photo, too dark and you lose the detail, too light and you lose the intense colours. I hope this snap does it justice. I used my Giraffes to keep it steady.

    I love it lots [IMG]

Now I can see the detail clearly, Kid Sis did a wonderful job on it. Don't forget to show us when you get it framed and hung up.

    BTW, I love your giraffes!

Ignore the PM, BM Babe. It appears it arrived with corners intact as well!

Now you see the problem I had photographing it.

It was a pleasure painting it for you. I hope you enjoy it for many, many years!

I am going to look at frames this weekend hopefully. It looked fine when it arrived, second post. The outer was a little roughed up, but all the inner packaging did its job and it was lovely and safe inside. I had to be very restrained opening it so carefully. It really is beautiful and gives me tropical goose bumps when I walk past it.

Thank you Webmaster, dendro, roders and walnut.

I was given two specific instructions ... that it be an Algarve Sunset and that the colours be black and red/orange. I had to use my imagination for the rest. Bananas are a popular tree here and the agaves are splendid, BM loves both.

The objective of the path was so BM could just disappear past the bananas and agave into the setting sun and lose himself in the beyond ...

Thank you very much, MMD. No, I haven't.

The Arizona Sunset BM displayed was the first picture I ever painted in 1973. I decided I'd paint t'other half a painting (my Dad lived in Arizona then), so rushed out, bought all the kit and stayed up all night when t'other half went into hospital for some tests. That was the beginning.

A few more followed in the following years (on LoL's Leisure) and then that was it until January this year when I was encouraged by GC folk to start again and so I started doing my Aussie paintings.

I've now been asked to put them in a Gallery here for sale ... a lot has happened since 2007 began! I still think I'll wake up one day ...
