It's winter weather here Victoria, so thank you for the warm weather pics.
I loved the wee cats. Somehow when I'm on holiday the wee cats always seem to get into my pics.:luv:
When we were in Italy in October we saw the damage the RPV is doing to the palms. I do hope they can all be saved.

Thank you penny, strongy, Babe, PeterS. Sis and Alice. I'm pleased you all enjoyed a bit of the warmth from here ... although Sis doesn't need it as she's in her home in Florida at the moment and warmer than me ... :yez:

We were at another beach for lunch today with friends visiting from the UK and I took a few more photos which I will download tomorrow. I also have several more pictures of the destruction of the RPW here in Algarve ... we have lost so, so many in such a short period of time. Srongy, it hasn't hit the islands yet ...

I will post tomorrow about the RPW here and on my thread about this creature which is devasting the Med ... it's quite unbelievable how quickly they go .. within weeks.

But I'll end on a happy note ... we had much needed rain last night and this morning and the day as all blue skies and sunshine and should be again tomorrow before another wave of rain comes in. We are loving it as we did not have rain for four months this summer so the earth is crying out ... :ntwrth:

Day temps are only 16c and night temps down to 8c (currently it is 12c) so it's cold to us but the log fires keep us warm and we had 3 tonnes delivered yesterday.

My paper says we are going to get 6 inches of snow by the end of this week - so really looking forward to some sunny pictures. :D

Having had one of our lowest temperatures for this time of year, 3,6c followed by electrical storms and torrential rain for five days (the garden loved it) we are back to normal of day temps of 18c and nights of 15c ... so we went to the beach for lunch today ...

This is at Galé about 20 minutes from us ...

:) Thank you John, strongy and pip (and nice to see you back :thmb:)

It is very peaceful here, both at the coast and in the country where I live. John, there was a person walking a dog on the beach and two swimmers (brrrrrr) in the sea.

We have been very mild this past week with day temps around 16c and night temps 11c.

This first photo was taken at Sunday lunch past from the table where we sat looking at the gardens with the Montbretia just blooming .... we live 5 minutes down the road from here ...

... and this was taken from our deck about 7.15am the following morning when I got up to feed the cats ...

    Thank you Dave and Penny.

Dave, hope your sniffling and snivelling is not too bad ... man 'flu probably ... :hehe: ... in saying that my Sis (Kedi-Gato from Germany) is at her home on the west coast of Florida at the moment suffering with the same infliction.

Penny, hope you are 'weathering well' there in my childhood domain ... ?

:) Get well soon Dave ... but I have no sympathy for man 'flu' ... :lollol:

By the way Dave .. went to the place for the special Carnation seeds and .. they were closed for two days of inventory ... how remiss of them!. I went to another place along the way and they had Carnation seeds but not the special candy stripe ones .... so, we shall have to wait ..
