Hugely impressed with all the work you have put in Kryssy - puts me to shame. Do you have an equable climate down there - friends of mine in the Cognac district have great problems with dryness and lots of pernicious weeds.

Thank you everyone for your lovely commments and thank you Paula and Fonzie too.

I have had a very upsetting weekend. [IMG] Something has been visiting the garden and either sleeping or just crawling through the flower beds and leaving a trail of destruction. I cannot find any "poos" which would indicate deer or stone martens so am quite confused. I don't think cats either as they wouldn't be so destructive.

I have had to pull up so much that I've enormous gaps in the beds now and no way of filling them until next year. I took photographs to put on the forum in case anyone had any ideas but the photos didn't show the extent of the damage.

Anyway, hopefully I'll not have any more nocturnal visits and I can enjoy the garden for the rest of the season. There are a few things starting to flower which were donated (as were most of my plants) so I'll be on the forum asking for identifications again. My friends are as dim as me when it comes to names [IMG]

It's a hard life - but someone has to live it [IMG]
